Privacy Policy — Robot Code

Thank you for using Robot Code (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, and shares information when you install and use the App to connect to compatible hardware devices.

1. Summary

Robot Code is designed to connect to and communicate with external hardware devices (robots, sensors, etc.) via Bluetooth and local network. The App does not collect or transmit personal information to our servers by default. Most data processing happens locally on your device.

2. Information we access

• Bluetooth: The App requires Bluetooth access to discover, pair with, and exchange data with compatible hardware devices. Bluetooth data is used solely to enable device functionality and is processed locally.
• Photo Library (optional): If you choose to save or load images from your photo library (for example, exporting logs or screenshots), the App may access the device photo library. The App will only access the photo library with your explicit consent and only for the described purpose.
• Local network: The App may communicate with devices on the local network to provide video display or firmware update features. This communication is limited to the local network and does not upload device data to remote servers unless explicitly stated.
• Files: When you choose to export or import configuration files, logs, or firmware, the App may access files you select. File access is initiated by the user.

3. Data collection and storage

Robot Code does not collect personal data such as name, email, GPS location, contact lists, or user identifiers for analytics by default. The App stores temporary data needed to operate the connection with your hardware (for example, pairing keys or local configuration) on your device only.

4. Use of information

Information accessed by the App is used only for the following purposes:

• Discovering and connecting to compatible hardware devices via Bluetooth or local network;
• Transferring device data required for operation (sensor values, commands, firmware updates);
• Saving files or images to the photo library when you explicitly request export;
• Providing a seamless local user experience.

5. Third-party services and SDKs

The App may include third-party libraries for specific functionality. We do not include analytics or advertising SDKs by default. If a third-party SDK requires access to sensitive APIs, that SDK’s privacy practices apply to that component. We will disclose any such SDKs in future updates of this policy.

6. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell or share personal information to third parties. The App will not transmit collected data to external servers unless you explicitly enable a feature that uploads data (e.g., cloud backup or remote diagnostics). If you enable such features, we will notify you in-app and request consent.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data stored on the device. Because the App primarily operates locally and does not upload personal data to our servers, data exposure risk is minimal. Please keep your device software up to date and follow common security practices.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. Because we do not collect personal information, there are limited privacy concerns for younger users; nevertheless, parental supervision is recommended.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
